Abstracts

Deadline: 10th June 1999

Format: A4 (298x210 mm).

Text. Text should be typed into the frame 240x150 mm using 12 points font size with 1.5 spacing. Participants are strongly recommended to use the template of the abstract available on our web-site and send the abstract via e-mail. If e-mail and internet facilities are not available, one-page camera ready abstract should be obtained by the Organizing Committee before June, 10.

Please inform us in advance, if you need equipment other than overhead projector for your presentation.

August 19

Guided walking tour in Tallinn starts at 13.30 from the lounge of hotel Viru. There will be a bus to Tartu from the parking place of hotel Viru at 16.00

Welcome Reception - all participants are invited to Welcome Reception at 20.00 in the Museum

of History of Tartu University on Toome Hill.

August 20

Walking tour in Tartu. 17.00-18.30

August 21

Sauna. 17.00-22.00. Sauna with refreshments will take place on countryside in Southern Estonia. Participants are recommended to take along swimming costumes.

August 22

Conference Dinner 19.30-23.00. Dinner will be held in restaurant "Püssirohukelder" (Gunpowder Cellar)

23 August

Excursion(s). 9.00-18.00. It is possible to choose between tours to Southern and Northern Estonia.

In Southern Estonia the route will take you through hilly landscape in rural area with small towns and several places of interest. Estonian type lunch will be served in a farm. The day ends in Tartu.

In Northern Estonia the route touches industrial

area where the most interesting sightseeing objects are Russian Orthodox Nunnery at Kuremäe, Lake Peipsi and Lahemaa National Park. The day ends in Tallinn.

 

Accompanying persons are invited to visit museums and participate in short sightseeing tours.

Participants from developing countries can apply for reduced fee.

Estonian Crown (EEK) has fixed rate against German Mark (DEM): 1 DEM=8 EEK

Conference fee includes conference materials, Welcome Reception, guided tours in Tallinn and Tartu, and sauna.

EEK 280 will be paid at Registration in Tartu.
